Study Abroad Faculty Ambassador Program

The Study Abroad Faculty Ambassador Program is a partnership between Faculty Affairs and the Study Abroad Office. The program engages faculty in expanding study abroad opportunities for students and faculty. The goal of this program is to engage faculty as leaders in integrating study abroad into academic planning across their undergraduate majors and minors so that every student can see a clear pathway to study abroad without adding time to degree completion. We would like to facilitate faculty involvement to reach the Presidential Study Abroad Challenge and to help us all meet the Student Success Goals set by the Provost.

Faculty Ambassadors will work with their departments and academic advisors to develop sample degree plans and map international academic opportunities, including credit-bearing Global Tracks, faculty-led study abroad programs, international internships, and international research experiences. These efforts will help students identify study abroad opportunities that align with their academic requirements and degree progression.

This program contributes to the Presidential Study Abroad Challenge and helps to advance our goals for the Success for Every Student strategic imperative as well as the academic success goals set by the Provost.
